Who we are
We’re Lauren and Zeb, a husband-and-wife team raising two kids, a few flocks, and a business rooted in good soil and honest work. After years in Georgia, we felt called to a quieter, wilder way of life and found it here, on 36 acres in Northern Maine.
Forerunner Farms began as a homestead, a place to grow food, raise animals, and let our kids build forts in the woods. But it’s also become something more: a studio for thoughtful, rural-rooted marketing. With Lauren’s background in branding and communication and Zeb’s deep connection to the land, we help small businesses and nonprofits tell their stories with clarity, integrity, and heart.
We still raise sheep, ducks, chickens, and vegetables. Zeb guides the occasional backwoods trip, and we host the occasional camper. But what we’re really growing is a way to serve — helping others in rural communities reach the people who need their work the most, without compromising who they are.
Whether you're a neighbor, a fellow homesteader, or a small-town entrepreneur with a big vision, we’re glad you’re here. Let’s grow something real and share it with the world.
We still can’t believe we get to call this place home, and we’re thankful every day for the kindness of the Mainers who have welcomed us.
